Taylor & Francis Group is committed to the widest distribution of its journals to non-profit institutions in developing countries.

Through agreements with worldwide organizations, academics, and researchers in more than 110 countries can access vital scholarly material, at greatly reduced or no cost.

Taylor & Francis Group, which includes the imprints of Taylor & Francis, Routledge, and Psychology Press, is delighted to be part of such initiatives that aim to increase dissemination opportunities for research produced in emerging nations and to bring this scholarly material to the global academic community.

Initiatives

• Research 4 Life
  Taylor & Francis is a partner of Research4Life (the collective name for three programs: HINARI, AGORA, and OARE) in helping to provide developing countries with free access or low-cost access to academic and professional peer-reviewed content. Research4Life is empowering universities, colleges, research institutes, and government ministries as well as non-governmental agencies and hospitals, with access to scientific knowledge.

• International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications (INASP)
  Through an agreement between the International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications (INASP) and Taylor & Francis Group, eligible countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the New Independent States may purchase nationwide online access for their network of libraries and researchers.

• The Essential Electronic Agricultural Library (TEEAL)
  TEEAL is a full-text digital library of agricultural journals made available at low cost to universities, agricultural research organizations, and government ministries in eligible low-income countries. This includes a selection of Taylor & Francis Group journals. TEEAL is an offline tool – no Internet or phone line required – that can be shared on a local area network, or used on a standalone PC.

• The Association of Commonwealth Universities Low Cost Journals Scheme
  The aim of the ACU Low Cost Journals Scheme is to facilitate the purchase of print journals by universities in a number of Commonwealth developing countries and beyond. The scheme allows member institutions to purchase print subscriptions at greatly reduced rates, allowing universities to secure access to high-quality research.

• Journal Donation Project
  The Journal Donation Project provides libraries with current subscriptions and back-volume sets of English-language scholarly, professional, and current events journals at reduced costs. The JDP is focused on the development of archives and on rebuilding major research and teaching libraries in countries that have fallen victim to political or economic deprivation.

  AuthorAID is a global research community that provides networking, mentoring, resources and training for researchers in developing countries.

• STAR - Special Terms for Authors & Researchers
  This Taylor & Francis initiative, undertaken in collaboration with our learned society, professional association, and co-publishing partners, provides one month's FREE access to over 1,500 leading international and regional journals. Coverage spans Arts and Humanities, Social and Behavioural Sciences, Biological and Physical Sciences.
